The Mississippi Tourism Association is an association comprised of tourism professionals established to support and empower Mississippi’s tourism industry through advocacy and education.
Who Should Participate in This Program?
Anyone in the travel and tourism industry who wants to make a great first impression when interacting with customers or guests.
Why should I participate in Experience Mississippi?
If you work in the travel industry or you regularly interact with guests in your city or state, this program will help you serve as a great ambassador for our state, upon completion of this four-course program, you will also earn the designation of “Certified Mississippi Hospitality Professional.” By implementing the basic communication principals and techniques shared through this program, you will be prepared to make an impact on your visitors’ experience in a positive, memorable way.
As many service related professionals are reliant on gratuities and tips to supplement your income, this training will help you deliver a top-notch guest experience which, in turn, could encourage your guests to tip you at a higher percentage.
What happens when I complete the program?
After you have reviewed all (4) four videos and passed all (4) four quizzes with a score of 80 percent or higher, you will be presented with a personalized Certified Mississippi Hospitality Professional certificate via email.
How much time do I have to complete the program?
You can take the course at your own pace, but you must have completed the course within (1) one year from the date you enroll to qualify for certification. You must be a member in good standing of MTA to have access to your login and password and complete the course.
